Jeff Gallahan was elected to the New York State Assembly on November 3, 2020, representing a district that spans portions of Ontario, Seneca, Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Broome, and Chenango counties.

A firm believer in the American Dream, Jeff brings decades of real-world experience to Albany. He has spent his career working hard, raising a family rooted in strong values, and leading by example. In the Assembly, he has fought to hold the line on taxes, end dangerous bail reform policies, and make New York more affordable for the families, seniors, farmers, and small businesses who call our region home. Jeff is committed to protecting middle-class values, supporting small business growth, and strengthening the agricultural community that drives our local economy.

Before entering state government, Jeff worked as a journeyman machinist at the General Railway Signal Company and later advanced through several management roles in the cutting tool industry. In 2017, he and his wife, Lynn, launched their small business, CR7 Food Trailer and Catering, which proudly serves Manchester and surrounding communities. Through this venture, they give back to a wide range of local organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America and the Shortsville American Legion. Jeff also spent more than a decade serving as Manchester Town Supervisor after four years as a Town Councilman.

Jeff founded the Red Jacket High School trapshooting team, where he teaches local youth about safe and responsible firearm use. He remains active in the community through the Sons of the American Legion, the Clifton Springs Area YMCA, and as a strong supporter of Back the Blue and local sportsman clubs.

A lifelong resident of Ontario County, Jeff is deeply rooted in the community he serves. He and his wife of 45 years, Lynn, raised their two children here and are now proud grandparents to three energetic grandsons. For Jeff, public service is personal, his work in Albany is driven by a commitment to protecting the future of the community his family has called home for generations.​​​
