Jeff on the Issues

Affordability
Everywhere I go in our district, I hear the same thing: it’s getting harder and harder to afford to live in New York. Families are being squeezed by rising energy costs, seniors worry about staying in their homes, and small businesses are drowning in taxes and regulations. Albany’s out-of-touch “all-electric” mandates will only make things worse.
I’m fighting to change that. I’m working to cut taxes, rein in wasteful spending, and stop policies that drive up energy bills and force costly renovations on homeowners. My goal is simple: to make New York affordable again, so our kids and grandkids can build their lives right here at home.
Public Saftey
New Yorkers deserve to feel safe in their communities, but Albany’s pro-criminal policies have made that harder. Bail reform, weakened sentencing, and political attacks on law enforcement have put criminals back on the streets while victims and families are left behind.
I’m fighting to restore common sense. That means bringing back judicial discretion, strengthening penalties for violent offenders, and giving our police, correction officers, and first responders the support and respect they deserve. I will always stand with the men and women who keep us safe.

Protecting Our Freedoms
I’ve always believed that government works best when it gets out of the way and respects our constitutional freedoms. Whether it’s protecting the Second Amendment, defending free speech, or fighting back against government overreach, I’ll never back down from standing up for your rights.
As the founder and coach of a local high school trap shooting team, I see firsthand what responsible gun ownership looks like. I will continue pushing back against Albany politicians who target law-abiding gun owners instead of focusing on real criminals.
Growing Our Economy
As a small business owner, I know how hard it is to create jobs and keep a business running in New York. Albany’s high taxes, endless regulations, and heavy-handed mandates have made us one of the hardest states in the country to do business.
I’m working to change that by cutting red tape, lowering costs, supporting workforce development, and making New York a place where businesses want to invest, grow, and stay. Upstate’s economy can thrive again, but only if Albany gets out of the way.

Protecting Our Most Vulnerable
I will always stand up for those who need help the most, our seniors, veterans, children, and individuals with disabilities. That means expanding access to mental health resources, supporting programs that help seniors age in place with dignity, and making sure our communities never forget the people who built them.
What I won’t support is Albany’s current approach of giving taxpayer-funded housing, health care, and benefits to illegal immigrants while lifelong New Yorkers wait for help. Our seniors, veterans, and hardworking families should come first, not last.
